June 24th is the one year anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that overturned the nationwide right to abortion.
But the attacks on abortion are a symptom of a larger problem: the drive by rightwing organizations, judges and politicians to control our own bodies. A tidal wave of legislation in state after state is attacking the rights of Trans people to get gender affirming healthcare and to participate in public life through sports, restroom access and more.
In April, the ACLU noted that there are at least 417 anti-LGBTQ bills in state legislatures outlawing everything from equal marriage rights for same sex couples to LGBTQ inclusive education in public schools. This spring, the Supreme Court is set…
