Post-Roe Impacts on Abortion Access in our Community and Beyond

In light of the imminent overturn of Roe v. Wade later this month, over half of America will face catastrophic barriers to abortion access as states create outright bans or heightened restrictions on abortion. Many people have faced these barriers for years, and have sought the support of abortion funds to provide them with the financial and practical support necessary to access they care they seek. Blue Ridge Abortion Fund and the Charlottesville Democratic Committee ("Cville Dems") are hosting a virtual panel to discus the impacts of the SCOTUS ruling on our community and beyond, as people are being forced to travel for abortion care, with many coming to Virginia as a receiving state where abortion is accessible.
